"Surprises are rare, but Michelin quality can be found in unexpected and unique places. We visited here on our last night in Barcelona and what a great surprise we had ! From the music, ambiance, cool vibe, relaxed atmosphere, this is a place you have to visit ! This is the best quality food, made with real flare and passion we had in our many trips to Barcelona. We had the everything from the Tomato salad, squid, beef carpaccio, canaloni, monkfish and a beautiful local cinnamon desert. The service from Michael and staff was absolutely amazing. This was the best food experience we’ve had. With so much choice, every dish was astounding, with real care in preparation and quality of food. These guys both know their food and with top class service, it was the best dining experience we’ve had in years. Than you Michael, Chef and staff for the best experience we’ve had in years ! We will be back and I’m sure I’ll need to book months in advance next time ! Do yourself a favour and visit this hidden gem."

"As a woman who occasionally goes out for lunch or dinner by herself, here is my review after returning to Barcelona following nearly four years away, having previously lived here for ten months. The staff were incredibly kind - and they speak English as well - and the food was excellent. I was treated to pan con tomate on the house, ordered the meat paella, and finished with the manchego cheesecake for dessert. I highly recommend all of these dishes! Be sure to make a reservation, as the restaurant is quite small and fills up quickly. A lovely bonus: great music from the ’80s and ’90s. Thanks again for the wonderful evening, Gabri and colleagues!"

"A good mix between a touristy and local dining spot. The dishes on the menu are wonderfully done plated nicely. The menus are accessible through a QR code which leads you to an interesting website where each dish is not only shown in images, but videos as well (which I personally think is a bit excessive and distracts from the point). The food and the wine/drinks can only be reached via different access points on said website which is a bit confusing to navigate as you expect to find everything on one page… I would suggest hiring an UX/UI designer or a web designer to improve it. At the end of the meal, the waiter came to shake our hands which was an interesting gesture… (which is telling of their warmth and gratitude I suppose!)"

"We were pleasantly surprised by our stop at Miño in the late afternoon on a Wednesday. Given its close proximity to the Barcelona Cathedral, I expected a menu geared towards tourists with typical tapas. I was wrong. Although first glance at the menu (croquettes, Iberian ham, etc) indicated we would at least stave off hunger, I was so impressed by the end product. The patatas bravas were probably the best I’ve ever had from Barcelona to New York. The method by which the potatoes were cooked was not your typical slice, dice and fry. From what I could tell, the potatoes were thinly sliced and cooked like a gratin, then cubed and fried. The end result was a perfectly cooked piece of potato, all the way through, and dressed with the perfect amount of sauce with just the right amount of heat. Perfecto! We also indulged in the oysters (served with lime - phenomenal) Iberian ham (exceptional) and burrata (also a bit unconventional as it was served with a sweet potato puree and sardines) a combo I would not have expected to be so above average. Without writing a book about all the things I loved about Miño, consider my summary a big 5 stars. Service also matched the food. Wonderful!"

"The best meal I had in Spain! The octopus is delicious, and the patatas bravas don’t compare to any other place I’ve been to-these ones are stellar. The atmosphere is beautiful with brick walls and a beautiful ceiling, and the service is very quick and friendly. It was also very fun watching the chef cook and prepare dinner."
